A NEW brand for ExVoto: Scarlett Poppies
Scarlett Poppies is a female-founded company with a commitment to ethical production practices. The designs feature special fabrics and traditional embroidery techniques from India. Founder, Linda Augustsson, was born and raised in Sweden and has spent the last 20 years working in the textile industry in India.
Keeping Traditions Alive:
We have been able to meet with Linda several times and understand her commitment to keeping alive the traditional Indian crafts techniques and her commitment to improving the lives of the Indian garment workers. Linda has been an integral part of applying better practices within the Indian garment industry, positively impacting the livelihood of thousands of textile workers.
The Creation Process:
The artisanal craftsmanship can be seen in the beautiful, hand finished details on each garment. Scarlett Poppies is beautiful, well-made clothes by a group of passionate and skilled tailors and artisans in India.
