Ex Voto has a great selection of dresses that have sashes to assist in creating definition and shape.

Sashes are great, not only because they give structure to a garment, but there is also freedom to express yourself in how you tie them!

Four Ways to Tie a Sash:

1. Classic Front Bow - Take the sash around the back so both of the ends are in your hands facing forwards. Now simply tie a bow in the middle or slightly to the side! This style is a classic and gives a slightly more feminine and preppy touch.

2. Front Knot - Take the sash around the back so both of the ends are in your hands facing forwards. Create a knot. Tie it so that the ends lay nicely coming out of the knot. A knotted sash looks best laying slightly to the side rather than directly in the center.

3. Wrap Around - Starting with the middle of the sash on your front, take the ends and wrap around your back. Then bring the ends back to the front and tie a knot or small bow depending on the style you’re aiming for and the amount of material you have left!

4. Back Bow - Starting with the middle of the sash on your front, take the ends and wrap around your back. Tie the back into a classic bow! Adjust the front to lay nice and flat. This style of tying works best with a thicker sash!
