Animal motifs are showing up in Fall fashion. Traditional silhouettes are re-imagined with playful prints incorporating animals and animal patterning. This animalia trend has previously been represented by cheetah print, which has now become such a staple it is practically considered a “classic” pattern. Now the animalia trend is going a step further with prints incorporating illustrations of the cheetah itself along with zebra, tiger, beetle, butterfly, bee, the list goes on and on.
A new brand for us, Las Surenas, is a great example of animalia patterning on traditional silhouettes. Beautiful patterns incorporating zebra heads, tigers and cheetahs are translated onto button down blouses, blazers and tissue-weight cashmere tees in rich colors perfect for early Fall!
We have been big believers in the power of a shirt dress, specifically the Emily Phillips shirtdress, for many years now! Emily Phillips brings us the animalia trend with a rich, all over cheetah pattern.
We can’t forget our nod to animalia with our brand’s very own jewelry line! Pendants, cuffs, and earrings with scarabs, butterflies, and bees.
