When Elizabeth Adams was born, her father’s mentor gave her a locket and a small card with the handwritten blessing: “May your life be as beautiful as you are.” She has come to see that while life is not always easy, it can be beautiful. The daughter of two artists, Elizabeth was encouraged to be actively creating at an early age. Growing up in a historic neighborhood in the south, she came to appreciate fine craftsmanship and the patina that comes only from time.

In 2009, after losing her young daughter to a brain tumor, Elizabeth created Ex Voto Vintage Jewelry. Ex Voto, which means a testament of gratitude, is a collection of one-of-a-kind and limited edition pieces designed by Elizabeth from antique elements. Made in the USA, Ex Voto is non-toxic and made using genuine stones and freshwater pearls.  ExVoto gives a portion of sales to The Cure Starts Now Foundation for pediatric brain cancer research.

Would this color best be called “ginger” or “coffee”? I’m not sure which, but one thing is for certain, this is one of the softest, most feminine sweaters with a turtleneck that stands at just the right height. Not too tall, not too short!

-Elizabeth

The layering jacket is an Emerson Fry standard for Fall and one of my favorite things. Throws on easily over sweaters (even sweaters and tops with puffy sleeves!) and keeps your body warm, without hindering your arm movement. -Elizabeth

The cobalt sweater is not only a fave of mine because of this electric blue hue, but also because it is seriously soft and densely knit which keeps all the chilly wind away. -Elizabeth
