Of Handmade is a line of hand-knit sweaters from Italy. These sweaters are a collaborative design between ExVoto and Of Handmade and knit by hand by a team of women in Italy exclusively for us! All are made with the finest quality of merino wool, alpaca and cashmere. I met the designer, Simona, at NYC market last year and we became fast friends! I was able to hand select the specific yarn colors for the sweaters on our order, making our sweaters unique to ExVoto. When Simona learned the name of our brand, she let us know that an ex Voto could be hand stitched onto a sweater, if we would like. I decided to have the ex Voto, a traditional icon in the churches in Italy, stitched to the back of the cardigans. Simona and I check in on each other via email and Instagram, where we recently got to see their feature in Vanity Fair magazine! She sent me these photos from her recent visit to the olive harvest in Tuscany! These images really make me ready to travel again!
