My husband and I had the opportunity to travel to St. John with some longtime friends. The mixture of these close friends and this beautiful island made the trip such a dream! Some of the things I love about St John: its laid back vibe, its natural beauty, its preserved beaches, its national parks, its hiking trails to historic sites, its amazing snorkeling right off the beaches, its great restaurants.

Here I’ve included some of my photo highlights and a list of my favorite beaches, activities and restaurants on St. John.

I wore a few of my favorite pieces from our Elizabeth Adams Collection of fine jewelry because I knew I could keep them on all week long through salt water, shower and sunscreen.

Favorite beaches:

Hawksnest Bay for snorkeling with sea turtles
Francis Bay (snorkeling, wild roosters and mangrove trees)
Salt Pond Bay for snorkeling
Oppenheimer Beach (limited parking so arrive early, but a beautiful beach with few people)

We were in St John for a week and there are still so many more beaches I want to go back and visit! We rented our snorkel gear for the week from a beachshop in Mangoose Junction called, Just Beach.

Activities:

Charter a boat trip with Ollie through Caribean Alibi (we visited the British Virgin Islands with this boat charter) Ask Ollie to take you to the Baths at Virgin Gorda, visit Soggy Dollar for a painkiller and snorkel at the Indians. Ollie knows all of the great local places that are not featured in the tourist guide books. Tell Ollie that Elizabeth Adams sent you then send me a photo of you with Ollie and I’ll send you back a gift code to use online! (send your photo to info@exvotovintage.com)

Favorite Restaurants:

Terrace for a fabulous white table cloth dinner with a gorgeous sunset view over Cruz Bay.
Longboard for a fast casual gourmet dinner in an open air restaurant where you can come in straight off the beach in your cover up if you like. Great drinks!
Skinny Legs for a fun, laid back, dive-like atmosphere with good food.
North Shore Deli in Mongoose Junction is so good and our favorite place to get a picnic to go for the beaches.

All photos used were photographed by Elizabeth Adams.
