One of our FAQ’s at Ex Voto is how to layer your necklaces. Layering is something that we love to do because, well, more is more if you ask us! There isn’t really a wrong way to layer - if you like it, layer it. But along the way we have come up with some useful tips on how to create that perfect cascade of layers.
Balance the weights!
When you have a chunkier chain that you want to layer just make sure your second layer is lighter or more delicate to keep the look balanced.
Start small!
Take some of our adjustable necklaces that compliment each other and fasten one to the 16” length and the other to the 18” length.
Try something funky!
Let the statement element be just that, the statement. It doesn’t need much, but those extra layers create a totally new look!
Love the look at any layer!
Make sure each piece looks good standalone first, then add more to it. If one layer can’t stand alone with your outfit, it shouldn’t be layered. If all the elements look good you have a new necklace recipe!
