I reached out to some of my local designer and bridal boutique owner friends for their input on wedding trends for 2017. Most wedding planning begins with the dress, and we will begin right here as well!
Wedding Dress: color underlays and interesting sleeves
Rachel Wilkins, owner of The Bride Room which is located next door to our Nashville showroom, let us know the wedding dress trends for 2017 are color underlays, sleeves, & memorable details like low backs.
Wedding Trivia: Queen Victoria began the tradition of brides wearing white on her wedding day in 1840.

Flowers: Dusty Muted Tones
Bridal Bouquets: Personal Elements and “gathered from the garden” shapes
According to Erin Banzakein of Floret flowers, dusty muted tones are popular for the bridal bouquets as well this year and the tight, ball-shaped bouquets are a thing of the past. Brides are opting for more large, lose and lush bouquets instead. Unique finishing touches like antique lace, a sentimental charm attachment or hand-dyed ribbon streamers are also trending.

Wedding Rings: stacking bands, colorful gems and vintage inspired rings
According to The Knot, the typical diamond is no longer the only way to go with bride’s opting for yellow diamonds and colored gemstones in their ring settings. Rose gold, stacking bands and vintage styled rings are also trending for 2017.

Wedding Trivia: Prior to World War II, male wedding bands were not as common as they are today. American men chose to wear these rings while fighting overseas to remind themselves of their wives and families back home.
For grooms in 2017, wedding bands with texture and customization are updated options to the traditional simple gold band.
