Labor Day weekend marks the end of summer, and as the season begins to change so does my appetite. I gave you my favorite summer cocktail recipes in a past blog post, and here is one of my favorite early-fall cocktail recipes. The Moscow Mule is a mix of spicy ginger and tangy lime and the copper mug it is traditionally served in just might be what makes it feel like a fall drink! I’ve been told that the best mixed drinks contain only five ingredients or less, and this one is simple with just three ingredients (if you aren’t counting the copper mug which actually does contribute to the flavor as much as it keeps the drink cold)

INGREDIENTS
1/2 lime
2 ounces vodka
4 to 6 ounces ginger beer (ginger ale is not the same as ginger beer which has much a stronger ginger flavor)
INSTRUCTIONS
Squeeze lime into a copper mug and then drop in the half of lime. Add ice cubes, then pour in the vodka and fill with cold ginger beer. Stir well.
