About Carrie Davis -
We reached out to Carrie to hear about where she finds her inspiration for her art and how her art influences her wardrobe: “I studied Japanese for a year in college, and loved it so much that I took Chinese after that. My parents thought I was crazy! I loved everything about Asian culture - the simplicity, elegance, and intentionality behind everything. I loved how they married form with function, never sacrificing beauty. My goal is for people to describe my work as classy with a side of whimsy. That’s the aesthetic I aim for as I approach styling my closet and curating our family home. I enjoy working with color, but I primarily keep a neutral palette for the most part. I love blacks, creams, browns, and blushes, with lots of raw textiles and plenty of texture. And then I add one “wow” feature, which is usually a great piece of jewelry or a fun pair of shoes. Overall I like keeping things simple, elegant, and elevated…but with a twist!”
