Visit and explore Birmingham like a local with our favorite spots around town!

Our flagship store is located in the quaint village of Mountain Brook, just outside of Birmingham! The Iron City has a variety of different districts and neighborhoods all with their own unique charm. We love offering a selection of styles in the store that can have you ready for any activity while visiting, from a visit to Regions Field for a Birmingham Baron's baseball game to a night out on the town with a stop at Mayawell for a cocktail! The individuality of each area offers an endless list of options to choose from which made it hard to choose just a few of our favorites! Scroll down for some of our top picks to try while exploring the town and click on the name to be linked to their website!

Our Favorite Breakfast Spots

The food scene in Birmingham is great for any food connoisseur coming to visit and what better way to start with the most important meal of the day- breakfast! We love Frothy Monkey for an easy spot to sit and relax with a friend over a cup of coffee while enjoying one of their gluten free muffin options. If you're feeling a little more spicy and looking for a non-traditional breakfast, try Lady Bird Taco as their breakfast tacos are the only ones that have received Elizabeth’s seal of approval and their AGT latte (hot or cold) is delicious!

Don’t miss out on swinging by Continental Bakery as well with their large selection of scrumptious breakfast treats: Elizabeth’s order is always a ham and cheese croissant and an almond milk latte with one pump of toffee flavor. All perfect places to kick off your day in Birmingham!

Our Favorite Lunch Spots

After a little shopping at Ex Voto and our other neighboring boutiques, make a stop for lunch for a quick bite! Olexa’s is a popular spot for ladies who lunch in town with cake being a must try on your visit. Elizabeth recommends indulging in the Cloud Nine dessert though for the ultimate indulgence! Our Birmingham staff loves Brick & Tin for the fresh ingredients sourced from local farmers' markets and ever changing seasonal menu- don’t miss their flourless chocolate cookie as it is a shop favorite for an afternoon sweet treat!

If going later in the afternoon and wanting to enjoy a mid day cocktail, we recommend trying out The Little Donkey for their guacamole and margaritas or Chez Fon Fon where you can Rosé the day away on their patio with a charcuterie board that is truly French!

Our Favorite Dinner Spots

The options are endless for dinner in Birmingham and these top picks are sure to have you covered no matter what your craving is!

For an easy, laid back night try Dave’s Pizza to enjoy a hot pizza slice with some of the yummiest crust or Sol Y Luna for a tapa style dinner starting with their trio appetizer featuring fresh guac and house made plantain chips, sweet potato chips, and delicately seasoned salt and vinegar chips- you do not want to miss!

We love Bistro Two Eighteen for their delicious French food and excellent seafood dishes, the ambiance is great too with exposed brick walls in a historic building showcasing the charm of this Southern town! Elizabeth also loves the patio at El Zun Zun for elevated Mexican- the margarita and chicken fajitas are her go to when dining in!

If planning ahead and craving Italian, make sure to snag reservations at Gianmarco’s for a fun date night (Pro Tip: Ask to book the two seats at the kitchen bar to experience the action of their high-paced, well oiled machine that is their kitchen!) or try Bottega, from James Beard award winning chef, Frank Stitt. If you are unable to score the reservation only slot, try the Cafe Bottega next door for equally delicious food and make sure to order their signature “Orange Thing” cocktail!

Let's Grab A Drink!

Whether starting with a cocktail before heading to dinner or ending with a nightcap after, you won’t want to miss our favorite places to snag a fun beverage while in the area!

Freddy’s Wine Bar offers a selection of wines to choose from with a yummy deviled egg appetizer that is great as a snack to share with a friend! We love Golden Age as well for their assortment of wines from around the world and unwinding in the California chill vibe ambiance. You will want to grab one of their charcuterie boards or try their grilled ham and cheese if planning to stay a while, which we recommend! For a unique and Instagrammable photo moment, try Juniper as their eclectic space with creative gin based drinks is an experience all in itself! We recommend Key Circle Commons to end the night for a cozy lounge with an excellent espresso martini!
