When Elizabeth Adams was born, her father’s mentor gave her a locket and a small card with the handwritten blessing: “May your life be as beautiful as you are.” She has come to see that while life is not always easy, it can be beautiful.
The daughter of two artists, Elizabeth was encouraged to be actively creating at an early age. Growing up in a historic neighborhood in the south, she came to appreciate fine craftsmanship and the patina that comes only from time.
In 2009, after losing her young daughter to a brain tumor, Elizabeth created Ex Voto Vintage Jewelry. Ex Voto, which means a testament of gratitude, is a collection of one-of-a-kind and limited edition pieces designed by Elizabeth from antique elements. ExVoto gives a portion of sales to The Cure Starts Now Foundation for pediatric brain cancer research.
